Trucks spray the road with calcium chloride to keep dust down. When it rains, it turns into slick, grease-like mud that sticks to the bike and eats radiators, brakes and electrical.

They get absolute priority. They throw blinding dust clouds and fist-sized rocks. Don't get out of the way and you're done.
